We had KFC for supper sometime ago and Bobby was looking at us like this! He ended up getting a doggy treat instead.

When Bobby is finished ramming his face on the door he will occasionally walk/run to the other window to spy on us.

"I'm watching you..."

He's a bit of a creep sometimes.

It's been a long time since I've posted so here are some updates!

- Bobby went to the vet for a check up two weeks ago. He was 11kg back then, but he's probably become heavier by now.

- As true to his labrador heritage, he has a bottomless stomach and eats everything. Here's a few: snail (once), birds (licked one and ate half of another), used tissues etc.

- We enrolled him into puppy school and he attended the first class yesterday. He was one of the bigger sized dogs and was the only one to pee during class. Talk about embarrassing.

- We gave him a long awaited shower and he surprisingly stayed still for most part.

No pic of bad ass Bobby today, but here is a photo of the handicapped state of yet another ducky statue. Up until now he has decapitated a couple which have ended up in the bin.

It was slightly rainy when I took him out to pee last night and there were so many slugs all over the place. Lucky he didn't eat any. We had a case of him smashing and eating a snail last week...bleurghh!!

Nevermind my house clothes, but this is what Bobby does best; being a lap dog with Red!

Bobby also shows promise in becoming a shoe thief in the near future. He's already been practising since day 1 at our house.

This is Bobby's new toy which he really likes. I'm going to call it Red the Raccoon even though his tail is pink. Red's body also happens to be a squeaker.

We are also in the process of teaching him how to do a "down". So far he knows "sit" and "paw". He will not follow these commands when he is hyper though.

Bath time!

When given the chance, Bobby will charge for the shoes. Mostly targeting my shoes...because they're just so aromatic to him. Grrr!

There was a little bit of yogurt left in the tub so I thought I'd give it to Bobby. A few minutes later this is what happened. Silly pup.

Bobby found my dad's socks and decided he'd like to bring them back into his home. Unfortunately for him, he was captured momentarily and shooed away. No sense of guilt at all.

Playing in the garden, having so much fun (squashing plants).

12/10/2013

Bobby's been with us for one week now! We gave him a warm water bath but he was more interested in getting out of his tub than getting clean! We had some visitors over today and he was a little shy, hiding under the chair but later trying to nip at my cousin. They'll be back tomorrow and I wonder how Bobby will respond when he is a little more awake.

Bobby became a little more rambunctious than usual. Must be all that pent up energy he gets from napping all day. I don't even understand how he still has so much energy when he chases his toys, plastic milk bottles and us all the time. I must be getting old.

When he was let out in the garden to do his wee and poo, he decided he would climb over the plants and sit there. He smooshed a few of them already and they look quite horrible now.

When he refuses to go into his crate at night, the old food bait trick works every time. Pumpkin oat biscuits and banana.

He somewhat knows how to sit on command. He doesn't know it when he is really excited though.

Bobby still thinks chewing on our shoes is fun. Threw him a fluffy toy slipper and thought it was a very good idea...for about 15 minutes only. Boo.

I also accidentally told the vet reception that he was born 4 Sundays ago. Oops.

Raising a puppy is more work that I initially imagined. I miss sleeping in! Bobby rarely cries as much when he is left in his crate now. Although he does like to throw a temper tantrum of tearing up the newspapers inside it.

He took his worming tablet as part of breakfast and slept for most of the morning, tossing and turning his little self. By the afternoon he decided that I needed grooming and tried shred my new book into pieces.

Doesn't drink much water, so I've mixed in more into his meals. He also likes banana and peanut butter! Not so fond of carrots and a bit scared of the floating ice cubes in his dish.

Bobby came home from the breeder last night! Not so much crying inside the red tub in the car, but a lot of whining during the night. He's tired, we're tired.

Let the adventures begin.

The puppies have finally reached five weeks of age and we were able to visit them for the first time today! After feeding on milk, they had a fun time tugging on shoe laces, pulling on pant cuffs and receiving numerous cuddles. They must have been exhausted from all the attention as they broke off into a nap before feeding time. It's exciting to know that Bobby is amongst one of the litter. We won't be picking him up in another few weeks time. Can't wait to bring him home!
